Tuition Services T's & C's
Introduction
Thank you for choosing You2Me Tuition ("the Company") for your child's tuition needs. We are committed to providing personalised, high-quality educational support tailored to your children's needs. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment to help your child achieve their potential.
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully, as they outline the responsibilities of both parties to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience.
Service Overview
-
To ensure the tuition is tailored to meet the specific needs of your child, an initial assessment will be conducted. This assessment may involve gathering information about your child's learning preferences, educational goals, and any special requirements.
-
Each session lasts 1 hour and is conducted by qualified and experienced tutors.
Booking & Payment
-
All bookings must be confirmed in advance, and payment must be made prior to the scheduled session. • Payment can be made via bank transfer or Paypal.
-
Fees are subject to review and may change with 30 days' notice.
Holiday Cancellation & Rescheduling
Parents/guardians must notify the office directly, not the tutor, of any cancellations, rescheduling, or holidays. This ensures:
-
Proper documentation and tracking of all communications;
-
Accurate scheduling and invoicing;
-
That tutors are not distracted from their primary role of focusing on the educational needs of the child.
Contacting the tutor directly can lead to miscommunication, confusion, or errors in scheduling. By contacting the office, we can ensure that all changes are handled professionally and efficiently. Please note, all communications should be made via the business email or phone number provided.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full.
For any holidays where tuition is paused by the parent/guardian, a 50% holding fee will be required for the following reasons:
-
The holding fee ensures that your tutor remains available for your child when you return, preventing the need for reassignment to another family;
-
It reflects the commitment of both parties and ensures the tutor's continued availability, as they may otherwise need to seek alternative work during your absence;
-
This policy minimises disruptions to your child's learning and provides continuity in their educational support.
Tutor Responsibilities
-
The tutor will arrive on time, prepared, and equipped with appropriate materials for the session.
-
The tutor will deliver the session in a safe, supportive, and professional manner.
-
In the event that a tutor is unable to attend a scheduled session, they are required to provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice to the Company.
-
If a tutor fails to attend a scheduled session without prior notice:
- Parents/guardians will not be charged for the missed session.
- The Company will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the session at a mutually convenient time.
-
Tutors who fail to attend a session without providing prior notice or an acceptable explanation will be subject to immediate review. Tutors found to have acted unprofessionally may be removed from our tuition service to uphold our commitment to quality and reliability.
-
Parents/guardians may raise any concerns or complaints regarding tutor attendance or professionalism by contacting Lauren O'Donnell at: you2metuition@gmail.com
-
Complaints will be addressed promptly and in accordance with our Complaints Policy.
Parental Responsibilities
-
Parents must ensure the child is available and ready for the session at the scheduled time;
Parents should provide a safe, quiet, distraction-free and respectful environment suitable for learning; Tutors must not be subjected to:
- Verbal or physical abuse;
- Inappropriate or hostile behaviour from children, parents/guardians, or others present during the session;

If a tutor feels unsafe or experiences inappropriate behaviour during a session, they have the right to end the session immediately and report the incident to Lauren O'Donnell.
-
The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if there are concerns about the safety or professional treatment of the tutor.
-
Parents are encouraged to communicate openly with tutors while maintaining a respectful and collaborative relationship to ensure the best outcomes for the child.
-
Any change regarding the child's educational needs or accommodations must be communicated prior to the session.
Safe & Safeguarding
-
The safety and wellbeing of the child is a priority. Parents or guardians must remain within the home premises during the session unless otherwise agreed.
-
Tutors are trained in safeguarding practices and adhere to all applicable policies.
-
All tutors engaged by the Company hold a valid Enhanced Access NI clearance, ensuring they meet the required safeguarding standards to work with children.
