Our SEN Summer Scheme 2025 – A Roaring Success! 🌞💛

As the summer draws to a close, we’re reflecting on what has been one of our most exciting and rewarding programmes yet. The You2Me SEN Summer Scheme. From the very first day, the energy, laughter and joy from both the children and families reminded us why this scheme is such an important part of what we do.

This year’s scheme was bigger and brighter than ever, with sessions packed full of sensory play, messy fun, arts and crafts, baking, music, games and outdoor adventures. Each activity was carefully planned to support not only learning, but also confidence, communication, social interaction and emotional wellbeing. The children thrived in an environment where their unique needs were celebrated and supported and it was incredible to see them grow, connect and shine throughout the weeks.

The feedback we’ve received has been overwhelming. Parents shared how much their children looked forward to each day, how new friendships were made and how the safe, inclusive space allowed their little ones to explore and express themselves freely. Hearing stories of children trying new activities, developing new skills and returning home with big smiles and even bigger stories has been the highlight for us as a team.

We also want to give a huge thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers, whose dedication, creativity and compassion ensured every child had the very best experience. From preparing activities to offering gentle encouragement, their hard work made each day run smoothly and joyfully.

In total, we welcomed hundreds of children across our summer programmes, with sessions filling up quickly and many families asking about future events. This tells us that the need for inclusive, supportive and fun-filled opportunities like the SEN Summer Scheme is stronger than ever. We’re proud to be at the heart of meeting that need.
